Add a zipped shapefile to the map.
Legend: Click on Legend at bottom of map user will be able to view the legend values for the each layer on map.
The User can see the Active Layers which are selected by checking on the Layers will be displayed as Layers on the Map and symbology of layers will be displayed.
Meta data Menu has link of Metadata View on which user has to click to find the Meta data list in new window
User will be able to search Meta data list in Metadata view by Keyword/ Layer, User can reset search by click on reset button beside search.
Related layers have been categorized in to one category to which they belong. User need to expand the category of layer by click on plus (+) symbol and choose the layer by click on check box.
On Selecting Layer user will be able to find the details about layer chosen and if in need of more information about layer user can click on more information button and get.
(Ex: Data Information and Status, Data Publisher Information, Entity/ Attribute Information)
User can get result from 1 or more layer by giving buffer distance. When the user clicks on map the results will be displayed in the selected Radius as a Buffer & the Markers & table will be displayed.
User has to Copy the URL of Boundary Layers & Paste it in REST Service Box & has to click on Upload, the Boundary Layer Map will be displayed.
User can upload Shape file/CSV Files in zip format. The Markers will be displayed on Map Regarding the Shape file Uploaded.
User select admin boundary like district,taluk,hobli,village,town and ward and user can upload file
User will be able to render their excel data file on our District/ Taluk/Hobli/Village /Ward boundary. This is made possible by Visualise your data on Admin Boundary
Step 1: First User need to have excel data, in our example we have specified some excel data files in help download link specified in below screen shot .
User will get Boundary sample excel files list
By click on any of the link files excel file get downloaded. In our example we have downloaded first one which is District boundary sample file.
In District Boundary sample file we have content as in below screen shot.
Following sample excel file Code represents District code, corresponding Value colour code and district names.
Step 2: Once District boundary excel file is ready user need to choose excel file.
Step 3: User need to select Admin boundary drop down on which selected excel data need to be rendered.
Ex: in our example we have chosen district Boundary.
Once user choose admin boundary, selected excel data file will be rendered on our selected admin boundary
User can upload CSV file. File size should be within 3MB.
Step 1: User has chosen CSV_Example.csv in our example from local files.
CSV file uploaded has set of latitude and longitude column values appended with additional columns as well as shown in CSV worksheet.
Step 2: : Click on Information button at top edge and click on point highlighted on map. Corresponding attributes with related lat ,Long (point values) displayed as in below screen shot.
User can upload Shape file in Zip Format. File size should be within 3MB.
Step 1: User has chosen bbmpwards.zip in our example from local files.
Step 2: Added shape file of BBMP wards will be displayed on map as in screen shot.
Steps need to be followed
If user load above URL in Rest service URL field and click on upload Button
Layer: Mass Education Office (ID: 2) Pink colour points displayed on map as in screen shot.
User can upload KML/KMZ file. File size should be within 3MB.
Example: User has chosen BBMP_Wards_Map.kml in our example from local files.
Respective KML/KMZ file representation will be displayed on map as a result
BBMP wards boundary represented on map as user we have chosen ward boundary KML file as our input.
User can upload CSV file. File size should be within 3MB.
Step 1:User has chosen CSV_Example.csv in our example from local files.
Step 2: Click on Information button at top edge and click on point highlighted on map. Corresponding attributes with related lat ,Long (point values) displayed as in below screen shot.
Thematic view menu has four categories
If User chooses any of the Thematic view then based on selection made thematic view will be displayed on map.
Legend: Click on Legend at bottom of map user will be able to view the legend values for the each thematic representation on map.
Demography has thematic views related to Population such as Population, Urban Population and Rural Population.
Live Stock Census has thematic views of each of the livestock themes which will be shown on map based on selectin.
Thematic Maps has Demographic, Geo Morphology Theme, Ground Water, Lithology Theme, Land Use Land Cover Theme, Soil Theme, Mineral Theme, Structure Theme, and Waste Land Theme.
Whether Info has thematic views of Weather information within Karnataka with from 12 Hours to 72 Hours by interval of 12 hours.Rain, Humidity, Temperature, Wind Direction, Wind Speed and Cloudiness
Clear will be able to clear the weather info chosen to view on map by click on Clear Weather Information button.
Result of the user selection will be displayed in result tab
Ex: If User selects Total cattle under Thematic views.
Result table will be displayed where user will get the result table values. Inside result table user can search for a values from tableusing Search option.
Also user can Filter the result values using filter option and download the result in Excel, PDF,CSV, and Print
If there are more than ten Values in table values/records in table values will be displayed ten records in each page and pagination is given for user convenience. User ned to select each page to view the records in each page.
User will be able to know about the location on which they click on map. User need to Choose Know you location icon from the left side menu drop down.
After Know your location choose, user need to click on map
User will get admin boundary on map and Latitude Longitude details with admin boundary details will be displayed.
User will be able to know about BESCOM, BWSSB boundary, Constituency Boundary, Revenue Boundary, Natural Resource and so on by click on respective icon for same location or any required location on map.
1) BESCOM Boundary
Full zoom out : User can control for zooming to the entire extent of Karnataka state on the Map.
Pan: Enables the user to interactively move the Map View position.
Clear graphics: This tool will be used to clear the graphics created by user.
Go to Location by Lat/long: User can use this tool by giving Latitude & Longitude in DDL & Click on submit there the map will Zoom to that lat & long Location on map.
Print: Exports the map with all visible features and base maps with user defined Title, Format and Layout.
Measurement tool: User can select the tool which allows user to measure the length and area in different measuring units.
User can Measure it by ‘Area’, ‘Distance’ & ‘Location’.
Area: User has to draw the Area (free hands) on the Map & has to select the Measuring Unit. Then the Result will be displayed as how much area is covered.
Distance: This tool will be used to measure the distance between two locations in the map.
Location: This tool will be used to measure the exact location’s Latitude & ‘Longitude’.
Area of Interest: This tool restricts the view to only user selected/ interested area, Selection option happens through Category like Rural & Urban. All the queries and other operations happen on user preferred area.
When user select rural button the District, Taluk, Hobli & Village dropdowns will display then selected district, Taluk, Hobli & village name will highlighted & zoom in on map.
When user select urban button the District, town & ward dropdowns will display then selected District, town & ward name will highlighted & zoom in on map.
User will get Basemap selection window by click on Base map icon at bottom of the map page.
This tool allows user to select the desired base maps like Satellite Map, Topo Map, Google Map and K-GIS Basemap User can toggle the map view from Base map & Satellite Image by clicking on each of the Basemap.
User can locate their current location on map by click on Locate me icon at right side of the map page.
User can Search results from address and place names and marker will display on the Map
